iMagic Online's

Simply the best ! Great realism, beautiful graphics, free software for offline flight training or head-to-head combat, and a paying ($2 an hour) multiplayer server with up to 200 people flying in the same virtual world. My WB handle is CStoff.

Other Online Flight Sims

• iMOL Online's Dawn of Aces© is an online simulator recreating the air combats of World War I. Version 1.3 is available for free download, and online flying is free for now ! When I'm not flying WB, you'll find me on DoA... My callsign there is CStoff, and I belong to the 6th RFC Black Lions, the #1 Dawn of Aces© squad for the last four tours of duty as I'm writing this (March 16, 99).
• SimGuild's Flying Circus© was the first WW1 online sim; lots of instant fun.
• Simguild is also working on a World War 2 online flight sim !
• The veteran of all online flight simulations is Kesmai's Air Warrior©.

Weaponry

• CH Products. All CH joysticks have a built-in throttle. I'm now using CH F16 Combatstick, Throttle and ProPedals (rudder system). Their ForceFX joystick offers force-feedback effects.
• Saitek. Fully programmable sticks and throttles at a very decent price. You can download my WarBirds 2.01 X36 setup.
• Thrustmaster. Maybe the best ones, but quite expensive.
• Microsoft's Sidewinder 3D Pro includes both throttle and rudder control system. Maybe a good solution if you can't afford buying a good joystick, a throttle and rudder pedals. There is a now a force-feedback version of the SideWinder 3D.
